The cooler the intake air, the more oxygen it contains and the better the combustion works. Colder air therefore means more power. However, when compressed by a compressor or turbocharger, the air heats up considerably. To prevent this hot air from getting into the engine, an intercooler is required. This cools the air down again and thus ensures more power and less strain on the engine. With more boost pressure, standard intercoolers cannot provide the required cooling capacity and the air is too hot. Our upgrade intercoolers from WAGNER TUNING replace the original intercooler plug-and-play.
