Turbo nappies or heat protection nappies are covers that come on the exhaust side of the turbocharger. They insulate the hot exhaust side from the surrounding engine parts and protect them from unnecessary stress. Higher temperatures in the exhaust system ensure better flow and thus better exhaust gas disposal. Due to the colder environment, the intake air is also cooler, which means more oxygen and therefore more power. In addition to the technical benefits, the turbo diapers also look very cool.
