This short shifter is for VAG vehicles that have been retrofitted with an 02M 5 or 6-speed cable transmission.

It can also be installed on vehicles that are factory-equipped with 02M transmissions and have external shift cables. In this case, the shift cables must be routed to the interior. If you are not sure, please contact us!

40% SHORTER SHIFTING DISTANCES

The shift lever is significantly longer and mounted higher. This not only ensures a brutal racing look. In this way, it moves much closer to the steering wheel, your shifting distances are reduced by 40% and gear changes under load or when cornering become child's play.

All bearings are coated with Teflon so that these short switching paths are also extremely precise. An integrated shift lock for reverse gear protects you from shifting gears. With freely adjustable gear stops, you can also lock the 5th or 5th and 6th gear and release them via the shift lock. Perfect for a quick shift from 2nd to 3rd without the risk of hitting 5th.

A return spring also automatically pulls the shifter to the center position, giving a more direct feel when changing gates while shifting up or down.

LIGHT, STABLE AND EASY TO INSTALL

The use of high-quality aluminum for the lever and frame and stainless steel for all screws guarantees minimum weight with maximum stability.
The installation only requires basic vehicle knowledge. Depending on the model, modifications to the body and the center console may be necessary. The original shift cables can still be used.

COLORED GEAR KNOBS FREE

The shifter's components are anodized in different colors. You can choose from seven fresh colors. To make the shifter even more suitable for you and your car's color scheme, you can even choose different colors for the shifter and the knob. Choosing a different colored shift knob is free of charge. 

DETAILS

The Short Shifter fits the original shift cables of all 02M / 02J / 02Q 5 and 6 speed cable transmissions. You can recognize this, for example, by the same diameter of the selector cable and shift cable.

In the case of models with shift cables routed under the vehicle ex works, the shift cables must be routed into the interior afterwards!

Colored shifters are custom-made and therefore non-returnable. However, this does not apply to technical defects in the product or colored gear knobs. Due to custom-made products, the delivery time is extended by 5-10 working days.
