Steering wheels often suffer from hand sweat. A fat or oil-based care is rather harmful. New leather should be cared for within the first 3 years with the leather sealant, because it needs effective protection against abrasion and wear marks and discolouration from clothing. Therefore, such new surfaces should be protected with the leather sealant.
If the leather steering wheel is dirty, it must be thoroughly cleaned before maintenance. This prevents the fixation of dirt on the leather by the care. The cleaning brush makes cleaning easier. The cleaning spirit degreases the corresponding areas. The amount is sufficient to treat at least one steering wheel. The cleaner is only used on soiled areas.
