WHY YOU NEED THIS

In heavy duty and/or supercharged M60/M62 engines, the crankcase ventilation vent valve at the rear of the intake manifold will fail. This allows oil vapor to get through the crankcase ventilation into the intake line and further into the combustion chambers. The consequences are rough idling, increased oil consumption, blue exhaust smoke and a huge mess in your intake line.

STOP THE BLUE SMOKE

The CCV Delete Plate is installed instead of the vent valve on the back of the intake line and thus replaces the entire vent valve including oil separator. This eliminates the connection between the crankcase ventilation and the intake line. The CCV Plate has four 1/4" and one 1/2" connection. In this way, the connection to the brake booster can be restored and additional components such as sensors or boost controllers can be connected to the intake line.

DETAILS

Once the breather valve has been removed, the crankcase ventilation line must be reconnected to an oil separator or an oil catch tank. An air filter with at least the same diameter as the line to the catch tank should be mounted on the oil catch tank.
