DEVELOPED FROM THE SCRATCHThe new WISEFAB steering angle kit was developed from scratch with the support of James Deane. So it offers all the advantages of the previous kit, coupled with numerous innovations. During development, care was taken to ensure that the kit conforms to the regulations of all major drift series, which stipulate an OEM front axle and allow modifications to the steering gear position.
ALL NEWS AT A GLANCEWishbones and steering knuckles have been completely redesigned. The wishbones are now curved further to give the wheels enough space even when the steering wheel is fully turned. In addition, the wishbones now have stabilizer mounts, so you no longer have to build them yourself. The pivot points of the tie rod end on the steering knuckles have been moved backwards to give the tie rod enough clearance to the wishbone and a steering angle of up to 65°.
With the new two-part top mounts, the values for camber and caster can now be adjusted much more quickly and easily. By increasing the steering ratio, the steering now reacts to commands much more evenly and sensitively. The steering angle can also be adjusted in six stages directly on the tie rod ends to perfectly meet your requirements. The Ackermann angle can be adjusted to your needs in four stages.
The completely newly developed geometry now generates a roll center correction of 60 mm and allows the use of long-stroke coilovers thanks to greater mobility of the axle parts and the resulting longer spring deflection. All components are even lighter in weight thanks to optimized design and increased strength, thus reducing the unsprung mass.
DON'T FORGET OLD VIRTUESAs with the previous WISEFAB kit, the camber of the front wheels remains consistently stable over the entire steering range and thus always offers you perfect grip on the front wheels. The independent steering of the wheels during compression (bump steer) is almost completely eliminated. An optimized geometry enables constant and easily assessable rear steering forces.
MEASUREMENTSWith a total wheel diameter of 635 mm or more (215/45R17, 225/45R17, 235/40R17, 225/40R18 etc.) the wheel arch liners have to be slightly modified.
Recommended backspace is 135-140 mm (7" ET45; 8" ET35; 9" ET25). If the ET is larger, track plates must be used.
This kit requires the use of a coilover kit and is a motorsport product and not approved for public road traffic.
