Factory top mounts are usually soft for comfort and allow a certain amount of play in the connection. However, the forces occurring at the wheel are then transmitted to the chassis in a distorted manner and vice versa. As a result, the chassis is sluggish and cannot react to these forces to the full extent of its capabilities. This also applies to the driver. This play can be eliminated with rigid bearings and the chassis can be fully utilized.
If values such as camber, track, caster, etc. are set, the vehicle is at a standstill. If it is now set in motion, there will be slight deviations from these values due to the intended play of the factory rubber bearings. While these deviations are negligible in road traffic, they can make the difference between victory and defeat at the limit. Rigid bearings eliminate this play and ensure you always ride at the exact values you set.
